How do I choose a sign size?

The size depends on how much space you need to fill, or how tall the text needs to be read from a certain distance. You can cut cardboard in different sizes to get an idea of the size, or write letters on paper and standback to see how large they need to be and we can work the sign size around that.

Do you carve logo’s?

Yes we can carve logos depending on the design. Send us your vector file to review in .eps, .ai, etc.

Do you carve Double sided signs?

Yes, we carved double sided signs. The price will be a little less than double. We can price it for you.

What images do you offer?

Most of our images are one color or silhouette style. We offer most any image as long is it looks good painted in one color. If you need a colorful image, I will need to approve it with our painter.

How much customizing do you do?

We try to accommodate all requests. Our shop style is to keep it simple. Signs are to be read not buried in artwork. That being said, we do consider more detailed signs depending on our workload.

I ordered a sign, when will it ship?

The shipping month was noted when you ordered, and is in your order confirmation. We do not know the exact day it will ship, it depends on drying time. You will receive tracking information when it does ship. You can email us info@blacklinehiddendefense.com if you can't find this information. Be sure to include what is being carved on your sign

I want to order a sign, when will it ship?

Shipping timelines are noted if you open a listing on our website. It usually takes 4 - 8 weeks depending on workload.

This listing is priced for a quarterboard sign with approximately the same amount of text. Three sizes are available in the drop down menu. If you need a different size or more text, we can adjust the size and price, or point you to another listing that fits your needs - - just contact us first.  

TO ORDER: Choose a size and finish option from the drop down menu. For colors and wording there is a notes section during the checkout process to add them, or contact us before or after your order. We won't carve your sign until we have approved the details with you.

COLORS: The sign pictured here is painted navy blue and gold but colors are your choice. You can choose from our stock colors or for an additional charge you can custom color match (preferably from Benjamin Moore). See our FAQ's for more information on colors and other help.

WORDING: This listing is priced for a quarterboard sign with approximately the same amount of text. If you have more letters than what is pictured the price may change, and/or the size of the sign may need to be adjusted. Please contact us if you are unsure.  1/2 numbers and special characters accepted.

MOUNTING: There will be a front hole on either end with matching screws provided. If you have a different mounting option, let us know.

How do I start a sign Order?

Fill out our custom order form by clicking on the "Describe your custom sign" button on the top of the home page, or by clicking on the "Start your custom sign order" button on any sign page. OR, if you just want to change one of our signs to your wording, or numbers, order a sign, and put your custom info in the NOTES section at checkout.

How do I hang my sign

We most often carve keyholes in the back to slide over screws in your surface. Other options are front holes for screws with heads painted to match, or eye screws on top for bracket hanging. We only offer front hole mounting for quarterboards and provide screws with heads painted to match.

How much test fit on the sign?

If you want a sign similar to one on our website, your sign should have approximately the same amount of text. If you have more or less text than a sign on our website, it is best to fill out the form at the end of this chat, and we can work it out with you.

Do you offer a warranty?

No. But if your sign is damaged in shipping, or if something seems wrong in a reasonable amount of time, please let us know.

Will my signs last Outside?

Our signs are carved from PVC an exterior sign product and made for exterior use. If a stained wood sign is requested, we carve from mahogany or eucalyptus which hold up well outside but being wood can weather overtime. A sign in direct sunlight will not last as long as a sign not in direct sunlight.

Do you send a proof?

Yes we send a proof before you order, or after you order for your approval before we carve. We do not send the proofs in color. We do not carve the sign until you approve, so please check your emails after your order to approve!
